CData is a multi-product brand. Each product is purpose-built to solve your unique data connectivity and integration challenges and use cases.

Product names

Each product is expressed as a pronoun (proper name). Full product names should always be used in the first reference in each section of all communications. In secondary or tertiary references, 'CData' may be omitted.

Example

CData Sync is a powerful data integration tool that allows organizations to easily replicate and move data. Sync offers flexible ETL, ELT, and reverse ETL solutions that support seamless data connectivity across hundreds of sources and destinations.

CData product naming convention do's and don'ts

Don't:
  • We don't use dashes, periods, commas, or other punctuation marks within the spelling of the product name.

  • We don't use apostrophes within the name to denote that the product is from CData.

CData Drivers are connectors that allow data experts, analysts, developers, and IT teams to easily connect live cloud and on-premises SaaS, big data, NoSQL, and flat file data sources to BI & analytics tools, custom applications, enterprise applications, ETL tools, and other data frameworks. When referring to the name of a particular driver without calling out the technology (ODBC, JDBC, etc.), use 'CData' in front of the connection product, followed by 'Driver', 'Add-In', or 'Connector', depending on the connection product's naming conventions.
